5 Stars We love our hamster Leroy!
First of all, we bought our hamster at The Cracker Barrel [...].(No it wasn’t on clearance.) Secondly, we love him! I saw him and thought he looked fun and thought the kids would get a kick out of him. My 3 year old was terrified of him at first but she loves him now and I’m pretty sure she thinks he’s real. My son who is 7 has fun with him too! He makes his way around the whole house and it’s just like he’s our pet hamster minus the mess and smell! Just a warning though, make sure your toddler knows not to put the hamster on their head. haha!!! My daughters hair got wrapped around the wheels and he was stuck on her head. It was hysterical but she lost a chunk of hair… But all is good. It was [...] well spent.

4 Stars Fun toy
Our school fundraising event had this item as a gift for selling 50 items. My kids are lucky to sell 5. My daughter was devastated as she really wanted this toy. So for Christmas I bought it for her and she loves it! It really is fun running around the house and our dogs sure are entertained by it. It was well worth the $7.95 plus shipping we spent. I have a very happy 8 year old who didn’t have to sell $1000 worth of junk to get it!

5 Stars Price Rip Off
I saw this in the Memphis airport for 12 dollars in the store. I did not have time to stop and buy but they had it for 12 dollars plus tax. This vendor is a rip off wanting over 50 dollars for it. And we all thought airport stuff was overpriced.

This is a great toy for my son as he is allergic to cats and dogs and other pets that he wants. He loves this and follows it around the house.

The kids love it, we’ve had it for awhile and they still play with it like it’s the first day they got it, all their friends want one now too! It wasn’t too expensive, and best of all, no vet bills! Need I say more?

4 Stars How do these vendors sleep at night?!
DO NOT PAY THESE PRICES. Call your local TOYSRUS and ask which days they get shipments. Then go those mornings. After 2 Tuesday trips, I had every piece I was looking for. Amazon should not allow people to price gorge like this. These vendors are the ones that go to ToysRUs and buy everything, so the supply is low then mark it up. If they didn’t do that, it wouldn’t be in short supply! Not sure how they can sleep at night!

4 Stars Great Toy, Overpriced here
This is a really cute toy and I am hoping it makes my daughters happy so I don’t have to buy a REAL hamster which is what they really want(LOL). BUT, these prices are ridiculous. Amazon is fulfilling these orders through 3rd parties who are setting the prices so I don’t exactly blame Amazon, BUT it is disappointing the way Amazon is marketing them. However, if you promised a little one these toys, this may be the only way to get them. Someone I know contacted the manufacturer and from what I understand the stores are only getting so many before Christmas and then thats it. Apparently they haven’t been able to make enough to keep up with the demand. I spoke to someone at Walmart today and they said that they already got their allotment and they won’t be getting any more before the holidays and they were sold out already. YIKES!

3 Stars overpriced
If I hadn’t promised this toy to my Grandchild I would have NEVER have purchased it. It wss not a “zhu Zhu”,I can’t rmrember the brand, I have since purchased another at a local Toy store and realized the one I got on line was a knock off. Shame on Me, but it will never happen again.

I didn’t know this toy was so popular and my four year old (after seeing tons of commercials} asked for one, after I said yes and could find one no where in town I resorted to amazon.

My Grandchild is so happy with the pet, I accidently stopped in a toy store, they had very few left but I was able to purchase not only the Hampster, but one of the assesories She wanted for LESS money then I paid for the Hampster on line!

4 Stars Painful Days Are These
I’m more than a bit disappointed in Amazon, usually my favorite “mall” of choice. This little toy – one of “the hottest Christmas toys of 2009″ is designed to be an excellent gift in this difficult times. I picked one up a few weeks ago because it seemed interesting and I needed a small gift for a hospital party with a $[...] limit.

The child who received it was over-the-top excited and I watched the faux rodent zip, dodge and weave all across the floor. It even had all of the adults entranced and laughing.

Handed from kid to kid, dropped, run into furniture and inspected completely by ten four year olds, I believe it is pretty durable.

The other party goers agreed it was a super gift.

At [...] apiece, parents with a couple of young ones can make a super holiday splash with the little stuffed pets and their accessories. What could better as we head into what will surely be a tough holiday for so many?

I’m lucky, my son is grown so the urgency of fun stuff for a budget holiday has receded. His gifts are easy (well, sort of!). But we still have little ones in the family and I certainly recall tough years when we struggled to try and make sure all of the kids enjoyed that same delight on Christmas we had as kids.

4 Stars My Kids LOVE Their Zhu Zhu Pets
We were lucky enough to be chosen to do a product review of Zhu Zhu Pets. We received several components of the habitat plus one hamster. It took a little time to figure out exactly how the components of the habitat fit together, but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to add another part to the hamster’s playground. Each hamster has its own personality. The hamsters roam around their habitat (or loose through my house) by themselves. The kids can’t keep their hands off of them, but that’s OK, too, because the hamsters won’t bite back when you pull their tails. Ha ha. I think the car is the best accessory. The hamster really goes into the car and drives it out of the garage. Too cute. It’s nowhere near a real hamster, but it’s a fun toy. Of course, there’s no mess to clean up, either, parents. [...]

3 Stars i cant find them anywhere
Does anyone know where I can get just a hamster? I am a single mother on a very tight budget. My daughter will be turning 6 and she would like the zhu zhu pet hamster for her birthday but I can’t find them anywhere. Not even in any stores near me. Please HELP ME.

My daughters heart is broken. It’s people like these that are ruining my daughters birthday. This toy sells in stores for [...] piece. All of the stores are sold out because of scalpers like these. I cannot afford these outrageous prices. These people should be ashamed of themselves. The Hampsters are only [...]in stores, and are upwards of [...]here and on ebay. I am sick.

Bought this for my 5 and 3 year olds. They love the Go Go Pets! The hamsters run around the funhouse and go to all of the attached rooms as shown on the TV commercial. We have all of the attachments (wheel, car, slide, etc) and they work great!! My kids LOVE this toy!

Go Go Pets Hamster Funhouse with Hamster

We saw this product in the store and it was really cute & fun. We bought it for our grandaughter, 7 yrs old. When we got home, we tried everything to get it to work like in the store. All it would do was chatter & make other noises, but wouldn’t run around within the confines of its area. So needless to say, we aren’t very happy with it & plan to take it back to the store the next time we make it to the big city where we got it.

Nothing adventurous about this ball! More like aggravation! The pet does not roll with the ball it falls on its side and the ball falls apart!

4 Stars Be careful
Be careful who you are buying from. Realize that Amazon isn’t the one charging these prices. It is the sellers. Definitely do your homework because in some cases the sellers are charging 3xs the retail value for these toys simply because they are popular. I personally do not think Amazon should allow such sellers because it does turn people off to this site and if they are legit sellers they really do not need to be taking advantage of people.

Great toy. Wait it out and you’ll get one for ten dollars or less.

3 Stars Wait till the prices come down, then buy
I brought the hamsters at TrU for $[...] each. The toys are cute but only worth the original retail price. The prices charged by the third party re-sellers are heavily marked up. The manufacturer gets no benefit from this situation as it causes bad will against the company and the product. Ditto for Amazon. I bet that the manufacturer is ramping up production as fast as possible and that these will be in stock in huge numbers pretty soon and those who brought out the first inventory will be forced to reduce their prices for the toys they still have. Such is the law of supply and demand. These will certainly be available before Christmas.

4 Stars Amazon is a rip-off
I verified the above review and in some cases,Amazon is charging 6 times more than Toys R Us. Check out the 3 hamster set at Toys R Us for 22.99. Amazon is selling it for $139.98!!!! I used to buy all of my Christmas presents from Amazon. Not anymore!

5 Stars Learned My Lesson This Time!
Ok I admit I spoil my kids! When they see these ZHU ZHU PETS on TV, they of course want them and I cave and off we go looking LITERALLY ALL OVER TOWN TRYING TO FIND THEM! We must have went to 8-10 stores and have YET TO FIND AN ACTUAL ZHU ZHU PET HAMSTER! Most stores don’t even have an empty rack as they must not be carrying them yet! And three of the stores were Toyrus and each one said they can’t keep them on the shelves.

Six Hours Later, We did finally find one lone ADVENTURE BALL for which we now have with no Zhu Zhu pet yet! But we did try it out with the neighbors Zhu Zhu Hamster and it is Hilarious as it acts like a Real Hamster in The Adventure Ball. So as I always do whether it’s Bakugan, Littlest Pet Shop, Star Wars, Barbie, and now Zhu Zhu Pets I end up WASTING TONS of TIME and GAS MONEY trying to find them at Multiple Stores when I should have Just Paid A Little Extra and Had them Shipped Right To my Door by Buying them off Amazon…Oh well, Live and Learn I Guess!

This is a great toy. I plan on getting my kids the rest of the add on parts to complete the city for Christmas this year. If your hamster isn’t moving like in the commercial, just change the batteries and it works perfectly! Big hit in our house!

These are a lot of fun for the kids. No problems so far. I, too, got them from Amazon, as no store by me had them in stock for weeks! It’s much easier just to buy them and have them delievered. The kids love getting packages in the mail, too. Anyway, we love these…much easier than a real hamster!
