2 Stars broken zhuzhu’s everywhere
I bought two ZhuZhu’s for my 4 year old. The first one fell off the table and broke. The second one fell off the bed and broke. I ordered three more. Of those, two are still working. One of them broke heaven knows how. These are not very durable all all! I opened up one if the broken ones and the wire connections are reinforced with tiny pieces of masking tape and the wires are connected to the circuit board with a tiny bit of solder (liquid metal). I suppose if I went out and bought a soldering gun I could reconnect the shoddy work and bring the three “dead” ZhuZhu’s back to life. One warning to parents….have a back up ZhuZhu…same color. Something WILL break on yours. Will your kids love it? YES! You’ll be a hero for buying them this. They re cute. Unfortunately a real hamster has a MUCH longer lifespan! Hope this helps!

5 Stars Almost as good as the real thing!
Since there is a history of hamsters in my life, my sisters (both adults, as am I) thought it would be a great laugh to send me the Hamster Runs inthe Wheel. It was! At first glance it looks alive. It will also scoot along the floor and bounce off of furniture. No feeding. No cleanup. A wonderful pet.

This toy hamster is a great alternative to a real hamster, my children love it! And you don’t have the icky mess of cleaning up after a real hamster!

1 Star Bad experience
Please understand I cannot rate this toy, because I never received it. I ordered it for a Christmas present and two weeks after Christmas I was still watitng to receive the toy. I waited three weeks total and decided to get a refund. I did get a refund. My friend got a hamster wheel somewhere else and they loved it. Thats why I wanted to order one.

1 Star This Toy Needs To Be Recalled. Don’t Bother Buying It.
I bought this hamster toy and all its accessories for my 4 year old grand daughter. She was very excited about the toy and I thought it was a very clever toy. However, within minutes of playing with it she was pinched severely by the hamster’s wheels when she picked it up and put it on her hand (just like the child in the advertisement is doing). I put the toy on my hand to see how it happened. I was shocked at how hard it pinched and would not release the skin. I had to pull the toy off me hard. The wheels spin fast and change direction randomly. It’s fine on the floor if you don’t pick it up. However, that’s not how this toy is advertised. It is supposed to be a “pet”. What child isn’t going to pick up their pet hamster during play? It gets even worse. The following day, the hamster’s wheels caught the child’s hair and started climbing up fast to her scalp. Again, not releasing. She was screaming in pain and fear. The only thing that prevented her scalp from being cut and needing emergency treatment was that I was closely supervising her and able to get my fingers between her scalp and the wheels. She lost a clump of hair and was traumatized by it.

I’ve spent the last week trying to return the hamster and all its accessories that I bought through Amazon. The manufacturer was contacted, but although expressed concern does not want to take the hamster back directly and feels the warning in the instructions is sufficient. BUYER BEWARE. This is a danger and should be pulled from the market.

5 Stars I’m lovin’ the Zhu Zhu pets – Stock up on the AAA batteries…
I got up early and was able to get Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters at WalMart. So glad because I know they are selling out stores because I’ve been calling everywhere.

Anyway, my kids have been playing with them all day. And then hair got wrapped around the little wheel and I thought one had broke so I spent forever trying to get the hair off — but that’s not what was making an additional squealing noise and making the wheels stop turning.

The little Zhu Zhu pets hamsters just needed new batteries. They came with 2 AAA batteries from the manufacturer — and I’m sure they weren’t in the store that long so that little hands could’ve worn out the batteries thru the “try me” window.

They must’ve just come with batteries not as good as the ones I changed them into. Because I just popped in some Duracel or whatever batteries — and now the Zhu Zhu Pets run even faster than when we first bought them this morning.

My children are playing with them as I write.

Now we want all the Zhu Zhu pets in the collection — and the accessories. Maybe by Christmas or before…

1 Star Don’t Waste Your Money
These accessories are for a hamster “pet” toy that is dangerous and should be taken off the market. There is no need for these accessories as the hamster should not be picked up by a child. When petting the hamster, the wheels can easily engage and start spinning rapidly and change direction randomly. This can and has caused severe pinching. The wheels don’t release, either when caught on even a 1/2″ thickness of skin. You have to rip the toy off you if you get caught in it. My grand child was almost scalped playing with the hamster when it caught her hair in the wheels, did not release and started climbing to her scalp. If she were not under close supervision at the time, she would have ended up in the emergency room with stitches. This hamster doesn’t need a bed and blanket. It needs a glue trap.

I got this at Wal-Mart for only five dollars, why are you guys ripping us off here, just because we are now on the hunt for Christmas stuff? We work hard for our money, and certainly won’t waste it on this item that’s 800% more expensive than regular dept. stores, not to mention your shipping is out of anyones price range!
